Zhenzhong Hu

    He received both his BE and PhD degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. He was a visiting researcher in Carnegie Mellon University.
    He is now the associate professor in Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, and also the secretary general of the BIM Specialty Committee of the China Graphics Society.
    His research interests include information technologies in civil and marine engineering, building information modeling (BIM) and digital disaster prevention and mitigation.

    A 14 people project team, formed by our research team, are gathered to debug and develop the second phase system of the rail transit BIM platform about Jinfeng Station of Guangzhou Metro Line 6 from July 13th to July 24th, 2015. The task was successfully completed in 14 days.

    "The Symposium on the Deep Application of BIM Technology in Large-scale Construction Projects", hosted by the BIM Application Professional Committee of the Construction Branch of the Architectural Society of China, was successfully held in Changchun on June 24th-26th, 2015. This conference attracted more than 180 industry leaders from design, construction, operation and real estate development corporations, as well as technical staff, BIM-related personnel and universities and other relevant scientific research institutions. I was invited to give a keynote speech on the theme of "Application of BIM Technology in the MEP Project of the Guangzhou-Foshan Line of Guangzhou Metro" at the conference.     In order to promote the extensive and in-depth development and application of BIM technology in Chinese construction field, the Fourth "Longtu Cup" National BIM Contest Launching Ceremony and the Third "Longtu Cup" National BIM Contest Award Presentation Ceremony and Summit Forum were successfully hosted on May 23rd, 2015, in Beijing by the China Graphic Academy. These events were under the guidance of government departments and scientific research institutions including Chinese Society of Science and Technology, the Educational Training Centre of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, China Architectural Scientific Research Institute, Tsinghua University and Beihang University. Xiaoyang Zhang, from our research team, gave a speech in the summit forum and presented the first prize work, "Research and Application of BIM-based structural analysis model conversion system".     Invited by the the center of diagnosis and treatment of Shenzhen Tsinghua Garden Architectural Design Co., Ltd. I presented the academic speech entitled "Research and Application of BIM Technology in the Design Phase". Professor Zhengqi Luo, Hongwen Liang, Pingjing Yu and Zhu Chen, the Deputy Chief Architect, participated in the whole speech. More than 100 people from Tsinghua Garden Architectural Design Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Building Scientific Research Institute and other organizations participated in the speech.
