The newly research achievement "Research and Development of a New Generation Bridge Management System Based on WebGIS Technology" has been published in the latest issue of "Journal of Bridge Construction". The research improved the accuracy of life-cycle analysis and evaluation of the bridges by means of establishing the wise degradation and cost models. On the basis of the efforts having been made, a prototype of a new generation bridge management system (BMS) has been developed and by means of recording the historic inspection data and mining the usable data of the bridges, the future conditions and economic benefits of the bridges can be predicted and consequently, the tracking, analysis and evaluation of the whole process of the bridge operation and maintenance can be realized. "Journal of Bridge Construction" is the core Chinese journal included in EI database.
