Zhenzhong Hu

    He received both his BE and PhD degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. He was a visiting researcher in Carnegie Mellon University.
    He is now the associate professor in Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, and also the secretary general of the BIM Specialty Committee of the China Graphics Society.
    His research interests include information technologies in civil and marine engineering, building information modeling (BIM) and digital disaster prevention and mitigation.

    Professor Guoping Wang, chief editor of "Journal of Graphics", presented the target and directions for the "Journal of Graphics" at the First Conference of the editorial committee, which was held in August 16th, 2017 in Hangzhou. It was my honor to be a member of the editorial board of "Journal of Graphics". "Journal of Graphics" is the core Chinese journal that mainly carries scientific researches, teaching and applications in the graphics field of China to reflect the latest researches, developments and future orientations. It has the sections such as "Graphics and Visualization", "Vision and Graph", "BIM-based Researches and Applications", etc.

    On May 31st, the generalization meeting of BIM-based Construction Management for Road & Bridge based on cloud, was held by Shenzhen Road & Bridge Group, which mainly aimed at "BIM-based Applications on Projects Management". I was invited to give a keynote speech entitled "The Lasted BIM-based Researches on Infrastructure", including the projects like Chongqing Baishatuo Yangtze-River Bridge, Guangzhou Metro, Xingfen Expressway, and introduced the application situation of BIM-based technologies. Subsequently, Shaofeng Jiang, from the research team, presented the BIM-based basic functions of cloud management platform to introduce the cloud-BIM platform in detail. Over 30 people including Liji Liao, deputy general manager of Shenzhen Road & Bridge Group, attended this meeting. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Aijun Zhang.
