The 2016 China Construction Industry Annual Summit was co-sponsored by the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, China Cost Engineering Association, Project Management in Construction Engineering Branch of China Construction Industry Association, and Glodon Software Co., Ltd. Was held from June 16th to 18th. More than 1000 people participated in the summit and nearly 60 experts presented their thoughts and experiences in several sections. I was invited by the BIM forum, and gave a keynote talk entitled "Rail Transit Management Platform Based on BIM and Dispatch List and Reflection on Application of BIM-based Construction Management". Relevant materials have been uploaded to the "Resource download" section.

The BIM-based construction engineering file archived management system was verified the national software copyright (registration number: 2016SR123940). The system stores the BIM model attributes and various attachments in the relevant format files, and provides various functions including categorization, searching, and statistical analysis. It is a tool, which can query, edit, and analysis conveniently, for the operation and maintenance personnel to query information, modify status, trace history, and view document attachment information of equipment, achieving the efficient use and management for massive document information.

Xiaoyang Zhang, the second master student under my supervision, has successfully passed thesis defense entitled "BIM-Based Analysis and Management System for Safety Performance of Time-dependent Structures" in the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University. His research aims at carrying out automatic structural analysis during construction. Based on the newly developments in Building Information Model (BIM) and 4D technology, a 4D Safety Information Model++ (4DSIM++) is proposed and established for architecture design, structural analysis and construction management. Based on the 4DSIM++, the approach and mechanism are proposed to achieve the model conversion between architecture and structure model automatically and relative analysis among structure analysis models. Then the integrated technologies are discussed on architecture and structure model and different kinds of monitoring data dynamically. Based on this information model, the application workflow and a series of methods for dynamic safety analysis and management are detailed discussed. Finally, a BIM-based Safety Analysis and Management System (BIM-SAMS) for time-dependent structure during construction is developed and the feasibility and effectiveness of the system are verified by real project applications.

Approved by the Intellectual Property Management Group of Tsinghua University, the achievements of the research team, including "A BIM-based Integrated System for 4D Construction Management (copyright number: 2010SR070390)" and "A BIM-based Facility Intelligent Management System (copyright number: 2016SR057011)", were authorized to CBIM Beijing Co., Ltd. in lieu of shares, which was a milestone for research accomplishments to formally enter to the industrial phase. We hoped that they will become iconic BIM-based platform and systems with independent intellectual properties, in the national Informatized construction field in the future.

"Key-value cache based IFC model implementation for web environment", the achievements of the research team, has been published in the Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology). The paper describes a web-enabled IFC object model using the JSON format and the IFC data cache with the Redis distributed key-value store for IFC application in web environment. Stepwise and dynamic parsing of the IFC data enables lightweight, standardized network data transmission with large-capacity, high-speed dynamic parsing of the IFC data. The Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology) is one of the core journals of China included in the EI (Engineering Index) database.
