Zhenzhong Hu

    He received both his BE and PhD degree in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University, China. He was a visiting researcher in Carnegie Mellon University.
    He is now the associate professor in Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, and also the secretary general of the BIM Specialty Committee of the China Graphics Society.
    His research interests include information technologies in civil and marine engineering, building information modeling (BIM) and digital disaster prevention and mitigation.

    The report meeting of the research progress on "BIM Joint Research Centre of Tsinghua University (School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering) and Glodon Software Company Limited" was held in Glodon Phase II Building on June 21st, 2018. The project directors and undertakers respectively reported on the progress of 9 scientific research projects in the past 6 months. Our research team reported the achievements on the project "Acquisition and Analysis Techniques of Dynamic Information based on BIM", and jointly discussed the data mining and analysis for tunnel boring machine in metro construction projects with relevant personnel from Glodon Software Company Limited. Totally 20 people including Zhenggang Yuan, Jianfeng Guo and Gang Liu, the president and vice-president and dean of Glodon Software Co., Ltd. respectively, and Jianping Zhang, Zhiliang Ma, Hongrui Zhao, Hongling Guo, Nan Li, professor and associate professor from Tsinghua University attended this meeting.

    On the morning of May 19th, the Fifth Standing Committee of the Seventh China Graphics Society was successfully held in Beijing. Totally 31 members of the Seventh Standing Committee of the Society attended this conference, which was hosted by Jiaguang Sun, chairman of Standing Committee. Weiqing Tang, director of Organization Committee reported the evaluation and results of 2017 Annual Specialty Committee and gave nominated advice for 5 prizes. BIM Specialty Committee, which was affiliated in the Department of Civil Engineering in Tsinghua University, won the honorary of “Annual Outstanding Committee”.

    The 107th Anniversary Celebration of Tsinghua University and the 17th Anniversary Celebration of Shenzhen Graduate School in Tsinghua University were held in Shenzhen University Town. Several festive activities have been held for the 107th Anniversary Celebration of Tsinghua University including the half marathon entitled "Tsinghua is Growing Up", football and basketball matches for the alumni of Tsinghua University, as well as the returning activities including the decennial graduation of Shenzhen Graduate School for the fifth grade graduates and the decennial entrance for the eighth grade, standing committee of Shenzhen Alumni Association, research achievements and innovation of Graduate School, and literature and art performances, etc.

    I was awarded to become a member by BIM-based Industrial Research Center of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China and attended the first meeting to judge the plans and projects of research center on the Youth Day. The research center was operated by the Shenzhen Highway Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. specifically for the BIM-based research center of traffic transport industry. The research center mainly aimed at prompting the BIM-based technologies and applications platform for traffic transport industry.

    The research team participated in the First Quarter Symposium in 2018 of the project "Key technologies for Database and Data integrated of Building and MEP system", which is a sub-project of the 13th Five-Year Key R&D project "Research and Demonstration on Big Data Management Technologies for Green Buildings within the Building Lifecycle". Every directors and researchers attended this conference. The research team reported the progress on "Standardized Big Data Extraction Technology of Building and MEP system based on Energy Consumption Monitoring system". In the past 3 months, we mainly completed the investigation of the energy monitoring system and established the building energy information model for dynamic monitoring.
