The research group has officially launched the recruitment of PHD and master students in 2022.

There are three requirements for PHD and master students  enrollment: (1) Applicants should have an engineering background and have a strong interest in information technology. Applicants should have obtained a relevant bachelor's or master's degree; (2) Strong technical background, including but not limited to research experiences in BIM/GIS, Internet, digital twin, artificial intelligence, etc. Candidates with research or practical experiences in algorithms, and the development of large-scale software systems or Web/App will be preferred; (3) Highly self-motivated, good written and oral English communication skills, and independent working ability.

Students interested in applying for 08140002 (academic degree) PHD in civil engineering information technology and 085900 (professional degree) master's degree in civil and hydraulic engineering can submit relevant materials within our graduate application service system (yzbm.tsinghua.edu.cn).

"The Key Technologies and Applications of Super-Large Engineering Virtual Construction based on BIM and Artificial Intelligence" won the second prize of the 2021 Shanghai Society of Civil Engineering Society Science and Technology Progress Award.

Through the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid reality (MR), knowledge base and other technologies, the project broke through the super-large engineering construction BIM model rapid construction and audit, construction simulation and analysis and other core technologies. The project developed a construction management system that supports the use of BIM on construction sites. The results of the project have been expert appraisal and scientific and technological research to reach the international advanced level. The results have been successfully applied to super-large projects such as Shanghai Disney, Shanghai International Convention and Exhibition Center and Shanghai International Financial Center, and have achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.

The "National BIM Academic Conference" organized by the BIM specialty Committee of the China Graphics Society has been listed in the "Important Academic Conferences (2021)" by the China Association for Science and Technology for three consecutive years.

Meanwhile, the 7th National BIM Academic Conference is expected to be held in Chongqing in November 2021. The conference aims to create an influential BIM academic exchange platform throughout the country. May you all support more and spare time to attend the meeting!

On July 4, the 8th Congress of the China Graphics Society was held in Beijing, attended by Huai Jinpeng, Clerk of the Party Group of the China Association of Science and Technology, Executive Vice Chairman, First Secretary of the Secretariat. Cao Shumin, Clerk of the Party Committee of Beihang University. Xie Shaofeng, Director of the Information Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Wang Ke, Deputy Director of the Department of Building Energy Conservation and Science and Technology of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. And Lin Zuoming, President of the Chinese society of aeronautics and astronautics. 130 societies, associations and research societies across the country sent congratulatory letters and messages, and the 232 members of the China Graphics Society attended the meeting.

The General Assembly considered and voted to adopt the work report, financial report, articles of association of the China Graphics Society (draft) and revised notes, and the Regulations on Membership of the China Graphics Society, and voted to elect the members of the 8th Board of Directors of the China Graphics Society and the supervisors of the first supervisory board. I have the honour to be elected to the 8th Council.

At the same time,the BIM specialty Committee was awarded the 7th Council Advanced Group Award. And the research team member, Chairman of the Committee Professor Zhang Jianping won the 7th Council Outstanding Contribution Award, and Lin Jiarui Assistant Researcher was awarded the Outstanding Worker Award.

On the morning of July 1, the Congress to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China was held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

To witness this great historical moment, members of the Party branch of the Institute for Ocean Engineering (IOE) of the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School organized party members and the masses to watch the conference live.Branch Secretary Zhu Xiaoshan participated online, I presided over the meeting.

We listened carefully to General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the congress, which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. After watching, I introduced I introduced the history of the Founding of the Party a hundred years ago, and revisited the party oath with the comrades of the branch members.

I feel the mission is glorious, and we should strengthen ourselves!
